FIDELITY BANK SET TO DECLARE DOKPESI BANKRUPTCY
The cordial relationship that exist between the two business partners, Reginald Ihejiahi led Fidelity bank and the Raymond Dokpesi led DAAR communications Limited has been shattered as the duo are involve in fight to finish over unpaid debt among other weighty issues.
The issue which has been taking to the court by Fidelity bank seeking Dokpesi to be declares bankruptcy over a loan, N7billion given to DAAR communications in 2009 by the Bank to acquire broadcasting equipment for the FIFA U17 world cup which was hosted by Nigeria.
It was revealed that Dokpesi went to his friend, Ihejiahi to borrow him money to help facilitate successful live broadcast of matches but was turned down only to be advised by the bank MD that it should be made official with the bank. Insider of the bank alleged reason the bank chief preferred it official was Dokpesi’s non payment of several loans borrowed on the basis of friendship.   
Investigation revealed that Fidelity Bank managing director/chief executive officer, Reginald Ihejiahi, a blossom friend of Dokpesi on many occasions grants loans to the media house on friendship basis. Its was gathered that when Dokpesi wanted to open the AIT branch in United State of America few year back, the bank boss, Ihejiahi lend his support financially which was to the tune of millions to his friend Dokpesi unofficially for the success of the media house.
The loan which was supposed to be paid back by Dokpesi in 2010 has been left dormant till date without any report to the bank why the media house cannot pay at the agreed time. It was gathered that the bank boss has vowed to see to the payment of the loan even with his last blood as he is leaving no stone unturned to see to the prompt payment. It was also alleged that Dokpesi has seek one on one negotiation several times with the bank boss to give more time in the payment, Ihejiahi has been turning it down with the reply of lets meet in court.   
An insider of the broadcasting house who preferred anonymity claimed that issue is seriously disturbing Dokpesi, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday.
